How Do I Find Good CD Replication Companies Online?

You'll find that the best way to find good CD replication companies online is simply to ask. Where?

Start with people you know and trust who have had CD's replicated.

Next, hit the online music production forums and ask for recommendations. You'll most likely find threads in which CD replication has already been discussed so check the FAQs first, or expect snarky responses. ;-)

You then want to take the names of recommended replication companies and do a search on Google and Google groups to see what feedback you can find about the companies.

Compare costs and then make your decision based on your research and budget for your project.

I've done a bit of searching and advise you Google the following names to get started...

A to Z Media (US)

Crystal Clear CDs (US)

New Cyberian (US)

Disc Wizards (UK)

Orbis Digital (UK)

I trust this will help you get started in your quest to find good CD replication for your music.

Replication is the final manufacturing step in the process making a music CD available to the public. Try to find the best quality replication you can afford to make sure your fans won't be disappointed.

Update: Tunecore, the company I recommend if you want to get your music in iTunes, now also offers CD and DVD duplication and replication. You can find out more via my affiliate link below...

On a final note, keep in mind that CD sales is fast giving way to digital only as you can imagine by now. This doesn't however mean that CD will completely disappear.

The CD will likely soon be around only as a legacy item, though this time has not yet arrived. For now, some fans may still want CD instead of MP3.

Luckily you have more than enough services around which offer short runs so you can cater to the part of your audience without the need for a massive upfront investment.

All the best,
Marius van Dyk

"Marius has a very informative site on how to be a self-managing musician, and he takes the time to get back to you if you've got questions. He's a cool guy!" - Nate Maingard, Musician twitter.com/NateMaingard

"It refreshing in so many ways to find something that's the truth and not just some "sign here pay this and tomorrow you're famous" website!! Marius has lent direction in gray areas for The Brokekings and certainly its been the most honest approach in getting our brand from our hard-drive to our tribe's ears." - Cliff Barns, The Brokekings http://thebrokekings.bandcamp.com

"Yes, your site is great. I devoured all of it, watched all the Vids because you cover all the important current marketing strategies a band/artist should be doing. I totally agree with your angle on things, especially the way the old music biz paradigm is crumbling away and there are new ways for all of us Artists to empower ourselves."
